Help thank her for her years of service to her constituency and our province.

BC NDP MLA Melanie Mark broke major barriers. She is the first First Nations woman MLA in our province’s history, and she remains the only First Nations woman to serve in cabinet.

Since 2016, she’s proudly served as the MLA for Vancouver-Mount Pleasant, fighting for the issues that matter to her community and people across BC.

She made a difference! She helped pass BC’s Declaration Act on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, and as Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Training, she introduced tuition waivers for youth aging out of foster care.

We’re sad to see Melanie go, but we’re grateful for all she’s done and we’re so excited to see what she does next.
