It’s time to stand strong against hate

Let’s join together to support a truly inclusive BC.

The BC NDP believes BC is for all of us — whoever we are, and whoever we love.

That’s why we’ve taken big steps to make BC more welcoming to 2SLGBTQIA+ folks, including:

• Bringing back the Human Rights Commission
• Implementing the SOGI 123 curriculum to all BC school districts
• Introducing gender-affirming lower surgery; plus expanding top surgeries to every BC health authority
• Updating ID cards to include an ‘x’ gender option
• And much, much more

At the same time, we know there are growing movements fueling hate and discrimination against 2SLGBTQIA+ folks in Canada and around the world — making them feel unsafe in their communities.

That’s why, right now, being public with our support of queer and trans communities matters more than ever before.
